python-audioread software package provides Backend-agnostic audio decoding Python package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-audioread
python-audioread is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-audioread package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-audioread *
You will get with python-audioread package name, version, architecture and description in a table
